NEAT Trail Completion approved for $250,000 Safe Routes to School Grant
On March 22, 2012 NEAT received word that our project was approved for a $249,447 grant from Colorado's Safe Routes to School program, administered through CDOT. This funding will complete the NEAT Trail from the commercial zone of Bergen Park, along Sugarbush Drive to Bergen Valley Elementary School. The natural surface connector trail across school grounds will also be improved. Jefferson County and NEAT are now working on timelines for design and construction, with a goal of completing construction by late summer 2013.
